Our New Head Pupils!
I am delighted to announce that this year’s Head Pupils are Heidi Austin and Cole Lynchy!
Our Head Pupils are voted for by all members of the St Joseph’s staff, making this a very special achievement. The role means a great deal to our children and carries with it a huge sense of pride, responsibility and leadership.
Heidi and Cole had lots to say about what the role means to them and how they hope to make a positive difference to our school community.
We are incredibly proud of them both and look forward to seeing them take on their new roles with enthusiasm, kindness and confidence.

A message from Cole and Heidi....
Being chosen as Head Pupils at St Joseph’s is a really special opportunity for us. It means being a role model for other pupils and having the chance to make a positive difference to our school and the people in it.
For us, being a Head Pupil means leading by example. We want to treat everyone with fairness, kindness and respect and make sure that every person feels valued and included as part of the St Joseph’s family. We want to help make our school a place where everyone feels happy, safe and able to enjoy their time here.
We know that being a Head Pupil is a responsibility and that we need to be respectful, hardworking, empathetic and flexible. We need to be willing to listen to others, help whenever we can and sometimes put other people before ourselves. We also understand that being a leader isn't about being the most important person — it is about serving others and helping to make things better for everyone.
Our role also links closely with the values of Catholic Social Teaching. We believe that every person is made in the image and likeness of God and therefore everyone should be treated with dignity, kindness and respect. We want to make sure that nobody feels left out and that we look out for one another, especially those who may need a little extra support.
We are really delighted and proud to be Head Pupils at St Joseph’s and we will take our role seriously. We hope that we can make a positive difference, be good examples to others and help make our school community an even happier, kinder and more welcoming place for everyone.
