Y5

Dear all,

Today I am uploading lots of work to keep you busy. I would like to offer you different options so that you can choose what works best for you. Below is a link to BBC Bitesize who are posting lessons every day. This is something you could use in addition to, or instead of the work I provide.

I have updated Spelling Shed so that there are different spellings for the children to learn every week as normal. Currently Year 5 are the top spellers in the school!

Remember, this is the perfect time for children to learn their times tables. I can't emphasis enough what a difference this makes to their maths.

Please contact me on dojo for any help you need.

Dear all, above is a free website the children can use to keep up their coding skills. They don't need a login and hopefully they'll find it lots of fun!
Dear Year 5,

Here are some fun experiments for you to try. There are also a range of music resources and activities under the 'music' section of the website.

Enjoy!

Miss Allen

Please see below links for this week's tasks for Year 5.
If you do not have access to a printer, just work on a piece of paper from what you see on the screen.
STAY SAFE- KEEP WELL
Hi Year 5,

It's Mrs Boekweit-Hughes here.  I wanted to come and say hello and see how you all are? I hope you and your families are all keeping safe, enjoying staying home and spending time together.  Make sure you help your adults out around the house and give them some peace and quiet : )  It is a worrying time for us all, but if we follow what the government are asking us to do, then we should all be fine and back to school and normality in no time.

My maternity leave with little Vincent has finished and I am very sad that I don't get to come into school.  I was really looking forward to seeing all of you again and finding out what you have been up to.  Instead, I am on my laptop researching lots of new ways of learning and will be sending you some links, as well as Miss Allen's home learning tasks.
